Albumin and Protein Guidance explained 17/03/09
Hi, still waiting for March results from 4th March clinic. Found this GP practioner guidance:
(Proteinuria: Detection and quantitation in adults using albumin:creatinine
ratio - Information for general practitioners

measuring protein in urine sample - which may or may not be of interest to people with this condition - a condition which amyloid patients often get if kidneys collect amyloid deposits and affect filteration.
My current level of protein leakage is 1.1g/l which was as high as 9g/l. This reduction is based on the reduced SFLC’s in my blood stream and hopefully my bodies ability to remove the existing deposits in my kidneys.
My albumin levels have gone from 12 in March 08 (normal is 35) to a present tally of 26. This means my blood is holding on to more protein - a good sign. These two results also help to reduce the water retention,
spk soon, choo
