Latest - October 2009
Hi, been a while since I updated the blog so here goes. The chemo is still holding back the SFLC’s but there has been a slight increase since coming off the drugs.
They have risen from a low of 19 to current level of 61. Since Feb 09 though the score has only gone from 40 to 60. I’ll try and upload the graph. The doc says that ok until about 30% of original high, which is about 150?
Overall I’m feeling as well as ever since illness began. Playing 18 holes of golf regular. Walking loads so breathlessness has subsided significantly. Still get water retention (furosemide tabs for this). Biggest concern is nephrotic syndrome (protein leakage). This has reduced but still significant.
Visiting London in early December so hopefully the total body load of amyloid deposits has reduced, giving me more time off the next treatment.
spk again soon
